The newest Elmastudio WordPress theme Pohutukawa is here! Pohutukawa is a modern mobile-first, responsive blog theme that is particularly well suited for personal blogging. The theme design is refreshing and offers plenty of practical theme options, such as colour adjustments, a layout option with a sidebar or a one-column layout, a large header image, an optional footer widget area and much more. So you can set up your blog individually and adapt it to your own needs in just a few steps.
Mobile-first and responsive
These theme features mean that Pohutukawa is optimized for viewing on the most varied screen sizes and devices. With Pohutukawa your readers can visit your blog from a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer and get a view optimized for the respective screen size every time. No more constant zooming in on small screens. The mobile-first approach also makes it possible to optimize buttons and menus for use on touch screens. In Pohutukawa’s smartphone view all important buttons are therefore generously sized. The main navigation is reached via a handy menu button. This way the most important content of your blog is not completely covered by the navigation on small screens. A search function additionally allows quick exploration of the blog content on mobile devices.

The Pohutukawa theme can be set up individually easily and in just a few steps. You can, for example, integrate a large header image, choose between a view with a right sidebar and a more minimalist, one-column layout version, or use an optional footer widget area.

Besides the standard WordPress widgets, the Pohutukawa theme has custom widgets for integrating your Flickr photos, links to your social profiles on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Foursquare, Flickr, YouTube, Vimeo and many more, as well as a featured video widget for embedding your latest Vimeo or YouTube video.
Styles for some external widgets are also prepared in the theme. For example you can use the Twitter and the image widget of the „Jetpack for WordPress“ plugin, and show the latest blog comments with gravatars with the Better Recent Comments plugin.
Post formats
To make your blog posts more varied, the post formats image, gallery, quote, link, aside, status, video and audio are prepared in the Pohutukawa theme. With this WordPress feature it is possible to just quickly publish a link tip or a single image on your blog and make your blog more exciting for your readers.
